Due to ongoing confusion about rules and regulations of letterboxing
I have created a webpage for the such. As folks propose well worded,
intuitive, and uncontroversial explanations of the various rules and
regulations, I will add them to my site. Apologies to Dick Noone and
Poison Ivy for using their recent contributions without prior
permission. I will delete if either of you so requests.

Thank you for the great rules and regulations webpage.
But you missed the most important rule of all of the
Letterboxing rules.
THERE ARE NO RULES

Well, there may be no "Rules", but there are "rULES".
Woe to the newbie or defiant one that disobeys! ;-)
Probably flouting a rULE, but not a Rule
